Seize the day or hit snooze?
I wish it was seize the day, but I’m more of a snoozer…
What motivates you in the morning?
My to-do list, usually.
What would your dream weekend involve?
A long lie snuggling with my dogs, catching up on Coronation Street with breakfast, then a decent dog walk with a good podcast or audio book, followed by an afternoon film or a coffee with my lovely pal Irene.
What outfit, benched in lockdown, were you most looking forward to wearing and where did you first wear it?
I didn’t really change my outfits too much from my normal garb – I mostly dress for comfort anyway, so no big changes. I was mostly excited to wear actual shoes other than my walking boots. My first shoe outing was to Tesco, I think!
What do you think is your finest quality?
I’ve been told I spread joy like light off a disco ball.
What was the greatest day of your life?
Last Tuesday. It was a great day of wins and felt like liberation after an incredibly busy work period which had deprived me of time doing the things I love and which keep me sane. After a weekend of sleeping and a Monday catching my breath and making a big decision, I woke up on Tuesday with a spring in my step. I exercised, had breakfast, took the dogs for a walk, then went to my costume job. Afterwards, I went to the Dundee Contemporary Arts for a coffee and some future work planning before my etching night class. That day, everything felt easy, probably for the first time in my life, and it’s a feeling I’m now carrying with me to help my future decision making.
