Seize the day or hit snooze?
Seize the day…but that is only since having children! My body clock is now firmly set to rise (extra) early, and collapse early, so I find myself making use of the quiet time before the rest of the world awakes!
What motivates you in the morning?
A good cup of tea!!
What would your dream weekend involve?
It would be a weekend of balance where I get to spend a fun day exploring somewhere new with my husband and the kids – it’s magical to see their minds grow with every new experience – and then escape to a spa for a day of complete peace and replenishment before a relaxed evening with wine and friends.
What outfit, shelved in lockdown, were you most looking forward to wearing and where did you wear it?
I purchased a few summer dresses and fun earrings for everyday wear and was most excited about it, because this is the first time in seven years I felt I could wear long floaty dresses and earrings without them being grabbed, torn or tripped over. My eldest was three when I was pregnant with my youngest, and now my youngest is finally through the phase of needing to be picked up all the time, it’s amazing how free I feel. Now I just need to treat myself to a new handbag as, again, it’s my first autumn without a nappy bag in tow. These are all things I hadn’t thought so much about whilst in lockdown, so I’ve enjoyed steering towards bright colours and fun accessories to celebrate!
What one item could you not live without?
My cleansing balm. I love being make-up free when at home and it makes my skin crawl (no pun intended!) if my face feels clogged with the day’s dirt or make up. So, the first thing I do when I get in the door is cleanse and it just makes my skin instantly feel more comfortable which in turn makes me feel more comfortable too. I also use it as a lip balm, hence why it’s my go-to.
