If you’re a staffer you’ll be given parenting leave, whether you give birth biologically or adopt. And if you’re self-employed you’ll get the equivalent financial support if you’ve given birth. But if you’re self-employed and you adopt? Nope, you’re on your own. 

 

But one campaigner is now fighting to get the government to make the system more equitable, with a growing army of volunteers from the adoption community and beyond behind her.
