For Jill Henry, whose fashion career has traversed brands ranging from French Connection to House of Holland, the aesthetic of activewear too often seemed secondary to practicality – a problem that came to the fore when she and her husband, Steve, decided to embark on a charity cycle from London to Paris in 2016.
