Last night, my friends and I danced, sweatily and joyously, in an auditorium full of people, shaking off our nerves to shake a tailfeather like our lives depended on it.


It might sound dramatic but, in truth, The Libertines’ turn at Edinburgh’s Usher Hall might very well have been our last hurrah for a long, long time – an opportunity to sing along, albeit behind a mask, that may soon be impossible.
